Biostatistician / Epidemiologist SNDS – Permanent position
HORIANA is a consulting company dedicated to epidemiology and biostatistics, designing and conducting Healthcare Real-World Studies. Founded by a team of 6 specialists, all of them having more than 15 years of experience in biostatistics, epidemiology, and project management, Horiana aims to support its clients at all stages of their projects. Our clients are both private and public/academic professionals in the healthcare field.
Horiana is currently expanding its team with a full-time permanent position for an epidemiologist/biostatistician (M/F) (part-time would be possible). The position is based in Bordeaux (33) in France, but remote position could be an option, depending on the profile of the candidate.
In an autonomous manner, you will take charge of design conception, writing protocol, statistical analyses mostly based on secondary databases, and notably on the French nationwide healthcare data system (SNDS).
Profile
- Master in biostatistics and/or epidemiology
- Experience of 2 years in the use of the French nationwide healthcare data system (SNDS)
- Proficiency in the use of office suites and good statistical programming skills (SAS and R as a minimum)
- Strong writing skills
- Fluency in French and English
- Autonomy, excellent organization skills and ability to identify priorities

Missions
- Data-management and statistical analyses using the French nationwide healthcare data system (SNDS)
- Identification and implementation of relevant and well-adapted statistical analyses
- Writing and reviewing of the study documentation (methodology, synopsis, protocol, statistical analysis plan, study report, etc.)
- Providing support to the scientific project manager
- Deliverables of the studies ensuring quality standards and timelines
- Preparation of scientific meetings on epidemiological and statistical aspects
- Writing/participation in the drafting of standard or specific operating procedures related
- Continuous development of personal scientific skills to keep up to date with scientific progress
